Although the island is made up of vacation families and retirees, there is always a soccer game to be had! The island recreation center started a 5v5 futsal league during the winter months which drew out more people closer to my age. Between the Junior Golf Corporation, the Marriott Hotel, golf course maintenance crews and the food and beverage crowd; there is a high demand for the game. Every monday night, we head to the basketball courts and knock a ball around. Spring has taken the games to the turf for weekly 6v6 games. The "Lions" are a close second place in league play.
